The appearance of this bottle was slightly more opaque than the last. Smells of chocolate, caramel, black fruits and light smokiness. Tastes of coffee grinds with smoky notes but overall too much sourness in this bottle. Quite a fleshy body but with an over abundance of acidity and sourness.
A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
