earthy, still with tannins, has some age left, tasted against the 2007 and very different. this wine tasted more "old world". still has some fruit.

Old-school Napa Cab with typical currant and cassis profile. Smoother and more polished now than when first tasted 9 months ago. Should continue to evolve and may yet become a great wine, but I plan to leave it alone for about 5 years.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
