Opened 2 hours prior to drinking; not decanted. Dark red-black color. Aromas definitely no longer primary as decaying leaves, some mushroom, and stewed fruits dominate. On the palate, this wine has good structure - still good dollops of acid and tannin; also possesses a fairly long finish. This is a big Brunello; not for those looking for bight and juicy primary flavors.

Big bold wine. Wish I had drank it on it's own, as I think palate fatigue had set in after a HUGE night with MASSIVE bottles. Lots there. Wish I had another bottle. Could hold at least 3 years.

Drink Dates 2011-2020

Dark color with intense blackberry, chocolate and lightly toasted oak. Full-bodied and ultravelvety, with caressing tannins. Vanilla, chocolate and berry. Goes on for minutes. Best after 2010.
