A legend in the making this 100% Cabernet fruit from legendary To Kalon vineyard. Is starting to mature in a magnificent way, such finesse in aromas of red currant, red berry and scent of black currant. Is so delicious and quality fruit core. Tannins have softens and now are very fine grain with a touch of toasty oak but very nice integrated. It has balance and finesse but with a good structure. Finish is very long and invites you for constant sipping! Still ahead a great yrs of complexity with such could turns in a near perfect wine. Bravo to Mondavi cellars!

A little brick color on the edges. The big fruit has faded and now it has smoky notes and slightly green flavors.

Brought to room temp and used my vinturri to pour it into the decantor. Enjoyed within 10 minutes. Earthy nose with tobacco and Oak. Rounded tannins with a refined finish and a barolo-like taste. A truly enjoyable bottle.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
