Drank with Brant Adornato prior to Law exam results. The first wine was Piedra Hill Purple lable. Full body, great color! The wine had great fruit that stayed with me for 4 to 5 seconds after the finish. The Caymus napa was equal to the task but had more oak (real wood). The vanilla was no longer in the flavor profile but was still enjoyable! Both age worthly and could last another two to three years.

Very good and stills improve within 1-2yrs more. HAs the classic dense, dark and delicious color and fruit, blackcurrant that makes Caymus unique.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
