Located in Saint-Julien, Chateau Talbot was classified as a Forth Growth chateau in the 1855 classification. The estate's history traces to Constable Talbot, who was an English warrior, defeated in France at the battle of Castillon in 1453. Still lots of fruit with hints of tertiary flavours. I am unconvinced that this wine will develop much more complexity.

fantastic -- drank at Spruce. Would not have wanted to wait any longer. All of the tannins were gone.

This was an absolutely fabulous bottle. Full nose, cherries the tannins have nicely developed over time into a very nice well balanced bouquet. Great wine

Leather, truffle, cassis, and cedar box on the nose. A full bodied, earthy wine that is well balanced. Moderate finish.
