Quite dark with a green but full nose of chocolate, coffee, and burnt cherry. Low tannin and slightly elevated acidity. Rather hollow in the mid palate but the wine delivers a juicy uncomplicated quaff nonetheless. Lots of toasty oak in the finish. Aged for two years in 100% new French (Nevers) oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
