Good wine, nothing to write home about. After about 1.5 hours open, it started really showing, but still something a little lacking. Maybe a bit old?

Big black fruit flavor. Medium comlexity. A bit of sharp trannins on the finish.

Harmonious and balanced, showing nice black currant and other core Cab qualities, this was a shoe-in for a steak pairing. Still quite rich, with dark plummy accents, any oak was fully integrated, and it still hadn't developed much secondary flavors.

This was another bottle that confirmed in my mind how underrated 2000 really was. Much more elegant than most anything from 01 or 02 I can recall. Delicious

An open and forward nose of chalky cassis and anise. Plenty of wood on the palate with slightly elevated acids and moderate tannins.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
