First time we have opened an old bottle and let it sit for any extended period of time(over 4 hours). kept it in the cellar during this time as we prefer it served cooler than normal. It still had a fruity nose and was perfectly balanced with a very silky finish. Soft tannins.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
