Drink Dates 2004

A cheesy espresso nose and not much else. Finishes short with tons of tannin. Forget this wine ever handling its tannic structure. 45% Cabernet, 43% Merlot, 6% Franc, and 6% Malbec (obviously the 1998 Trilogy was not a trilogy at all). Drink now.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
