Many reports that I have read featuring this wine suggested that 2007 - 2012 was to be the ideal drinking window for this wine. I can say without fear of contradiction that this wine is still drinking magnificently in 2014 and it suggests at least 5 more years at this ideal point to me.
It has a lovely and inviting nose of black berry fruit and liqourice. The taste is full and the finish is unbelievably long. I felt that the blackcurrant and perhaps even raspberry flavours that accompanied a chocolate style richness of this wine were marvelous. It is drinking beautifully and accompanies roast pork delightfully.
What a lovely wine.
