Another great wine from the 1997 Cinq Cepages. Strong floral nose, layered finish, mild flavors of dark fruit. Deep ink color. Highly recommend.

This was my final bottle of "Sink Seepage" that I ever bought. I remember buying this at Costco for $20 when I first got into wine... Those were the days! Dark and inky still, lots of pepper, tar, mocha and cassis. Nice mouthfeel and weight also - I would drink this all the time at $25 but not for $60+. Plenty of fruit left on it for many years of enjoyment.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
