Low US Retail is updated twice a month and excludes outlier listings. Detailed listings are sourced daily from our partner, Global Wine Stocks, and may include outliers. Note that you can use the 'Report a problem' link which appears after clicking on any individual listing to notify our content team and partner of incorrect wine matches.

Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyerÂ’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

This wall of cement had such impenetrable density that it could easily be mistaken as backward. The wine was dominated by a chewy, brooding structure that lacked enough pleasurable elements to keep it honest. There were trace elements of dark plum, cocoa, roast coffee and dark cherries that seemed to dissipate in time instead of augmenting. For tasters that have an addiction to tannin and the optimism of a saint. I have yet to have a Banfi wine that was thoroughly enjoyable

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
