Yellow-gold color. Bubbles a bit muted. Aromas of roasted nuts on the nose. This is a rich, full champagne with a long finish. Powerful wine as one would expect from the 1996 vintage. Fruit is still evident, but drink this wine soon; not going to get better.

Consumed from a half bottle, this super racy, fully mature rendition from the marketable Vueve house, sporting wafts of glazed mushroom, lime zest, bailed hay, ground coffee and hints of dusty earth through the air. The palate is wound tightly along a focused beam of mouthwatering, complex flavors that resonate throughout the finish in an electric persona. Vueve demonstrates a lot of elegant grace, while showcasing the vintage?s top notch acidity.
