A bot more oak than I like in my Nebbiolo these days, but not bad, it evolved nicely. Its not going to get any better so drink up.
Rusty to orange rim, brickish in color, it had a deep translucent core. At first there were some oxidized notes, reminding me of sherry, but the palate had the unmistakable austere red fruits, with notes of tar and flowers. Initially the wine was teetering in and out of oakiness, but eventually settled in. A long, silky finish with tannins making their presence known without overdoing it.
