Wow, this is a deliciously spectacular cab. Ripe black cherry, black currant, and black raspberry fruit intertwined with notes of sandalwood, cedar and spices. Tannins are perfectly integrated giving a silky mouthfeel. This is a finely balanced and complex mature cab.

Initially after decanting the nose had a very funky scent of burnt rubber. By 2 hours the rich fruit opened up. Had very smooth tannin with long finish.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
