This wine is doing quite well though at its peak or slightly past. Some of the tannins seemed to have mellowed allowing the fresh bright fruit to be quite prominent. Bright but yet dark color slightly thin at edges (as expected). Aromas of fruit and earth and flavors that are similar with medium plus body and quite smooth finish. Slightly past peak as the tannins have really mellowed but remarkable amount of fruit remains. Will likely stay at this levels for years to come.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
