White Champagne Blend
Producer Notes

Krug Champagnes are famous for their rich, nutty, elegant and extremely food-friendly nature. Founded in 1843 by German immigrant Johann-Joseph Krug, the house has since been run by many generations of the Krug family, and the general style of the champagne has evolved along with that progression. Drink Dates 2010

Fine. The 88s should be drunk now unless you like the *British* style of very old cahmpagne almost like whites. Oxidised and quickly loosing bubbles. I missed the freshness but a very stable wine, even if I don't like the oxidised style.

Big champagne, still plenty of acidity and freshness. Alot going on here.

Drink Dates 2020-2040

This had very high expectations... and did not really deliver... The nose is absolutely wonderful, complex, tropical fruits, mature. Palate felt way too young with the acidity dominating the impression, but very packed with action. I'm sure this wine will be much better someday, as there is so much going on here, but please let it rest two more decades!

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
