Consistent notes. Holding up well; soft tannins but vigorous w/good grip; masculine style typical of 1988 but not as hard; haberdashery & exotic spices components; complex & elegant w/a very long finish; great now but will hold.

Drinking beautiful at its 25yr old. Pure St. Julien classic nose, suave tannins makes a smoothing, pure and delicious drinking. Simply impressive and great value

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
