One of eighteen Fifth Growth estates, Chateau Pontet-Canet is located in the northern end of the Pauillac appellation, and has one of the largest production volumes in the region. The vineyards date to the early 18th century, and are planted on extremely gravelly, well-draining soil, typical of the best vineyards in Bordeaux. Drink Dates 2006-2026

Crimson in color. Medium rim variation. Medium legs. Black currant (cassis), Light toast, Oak, Vanilla, Forest floor gave way to nice floral notes. Nicely weighted and balanced with fruit, tannins and acid fully integrated. Medium complexity. Nice evolution in the glass. Drinking beuatifully.Medium/Full bodied. Smooth texture. Medium finish.
