Last Tasted 11/93 This flamboyant, olive, black-cherry, cassis, and spicy-scented wine offers voluptuously rich, chewy, fleshy flavors, medium to full body, and a smooth-as-silk personality. It has been delicious since its release, and it reveals no signs of decline. The color remains an attractive plum/garnet with only slight amber at the edge.

Broad and lush with noticeable oak and herbal aromas which overshadow the currant and black cherry flavors. Well balanced, clean and slightly oaky on the finish.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
