RP: Recently consistently scoring in the 94-96 point range. Beautifully sweet, slightly herbaceous black currant, licorice aned earthy notes emerge from this nearly opaque, dark ruby/purple-tingeed 1982. Compared ot the more elegant, femine-stype wine often produceed here, it isa best. Dense, thick, rich concentrated and impressive, it can be drunk now and over the next two decades.

Ripe, sweet, and thick, with low acidity, medium to full body, impressive richness, light to moderate tannin, and a long finish,

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
