Part of a 1978 Burgundy tasting hosted by Acker at Cru on 11/11/09. Unbelievably rich, perfumed, elegant nose. In the mouth, POP, dense, rich, round, integrated, fruity and elegant. This is best RSV I have had. It faded over an hour, but was still beautiful. 96

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
