Producer Notes

Chateau Angelus is located just west of the town of St. Emilion and was promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classe status in 1996. Typical blends consist of Merlot and Cabernet Franc which are grown on Angelus's southerly-exposed vineyards. Chateau Angelus also produces a second wine called Carillon de l'Angelus.

excellent for a 1973 middling bordeaux. light body but plenty of fruit, fabulous with both lightly sauced short rib and portobello mushrooms
