Served before and with dessert courses. Slightly cloudy medium amber. Autumnal, mildly sweet, not figgy, now supported by acid rather than tannin. Mouthfeel remains moderately full without any heaviness, not even a sense of alcohol, let alone being fortified. Fading glory or "sunset phase" - like the '63 Graham's tasted on 2/5/11, and perhaps less substantial. But still lively enough, delicious and satisfying.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
