Made from bought grapes from Castillone Falleto (Monprivato). Soft on the attack, but big fruit in the mouth. Someone use dhte phrase an iron fist in a velvet glove and i fit. Very refined and beautiful. This was tasted at an Acker Wine event on 11/4/09 hosted by Antonio Galloni. 13 wines from the 1960s were tasted in 4 flights at dinner at Alto in Manhattan. The wines were double decanted just prior to the tasting, so some of the wines may have need more time and may be rated in range.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
