Delicate fragrance, tastes like peach melba with a few drops of rose water. Dry and refreshing, silky texture.

Unmistakeably Tuscan, the 10% Cabernet does not detract from or disguise this wine in any way. To me the Cabernet was only perceptible on the finish, adding a dry, tannic breadth that was welcome. Typical funky scents of saddle leather, earth after rain, and bright red fruit on the nose; reserved, classic Sangiovese flavours combined with firm structure. Promising and delicious.

Medium to long finish. Interesting nose and very different taste. Not sweet but not bitter either. The notes say this has a nose of smoke, but it smelled a bit like eucalyptus to me.

cola, berries, long lush finish paired with a spicy marinara/ tuna - worked well although more as a similar taste vs complementary

Crimson in color. Opens quickly to a nose of muted clove/ cinnamon and chocolate lusciousness. On the tongue, I got almond and dark berries that morphed slowly into a smooth kona-coffee like while also surprising with a hint of pepper on the sides. Nice long finish - medium body. Wonderful.

Lush and smooth. Muted fruit and mellowed into a nice mouthful.

Nice nose of floral/ citrus. Good acid attack ('clean???), nice balanced build on the tongue, long lasting finish. Crisp, green citrus (faint hints of lime/ orange) and finished with a bit of vanilla oak on the back of the tongue.

Very smooth, as one would expect. Comparing to the Tokaji, it's a bit cleaner - not as syrupy. More delicate and floral than the Tokaji's citrus nose/ taste.

Longer finish than previous vintages. Young; should develop into a well-rounded wine.

Good paring with red meats. One of the more solid vintages to date.

bought this wine as part of our friday wine club. Some berry scents to it. Not much depth. Good with Salmon, Lamb

2nd Time I've had this wine. What a wonderful producer. Beautiful nose of stewed cherries and good barnyard. Wine is medium to full bodied, with lovely sweet fine grained tannins. Evolved in the glass over a 2 hour dinner. Glad I have 2 more.

Sweet, fruity, with hints of apple and peach. I enjoyed this wine with fish, broccoli, and rice. An excellent pairing.

LOVE this wine. I am not a fan of overly tannic wines, so many Merlots and Cabernet Sauvignons scare me. A touch of plum and black tea give it some depth, without making it too overpowering. I found this Merlot to be very smooth and rich and absolutely lovely, nicely balanced. This Merlot will definitely be making a repeat appearance in my cellar. Visit my website: la diva gourmet
