bottle opened 24hrs still good flavor but 24hrs did not mellow out

We drank this with roasted leg of lamb on 12/21/08. It had strawberry, cherry and spice on both the nose and the palate. It was light and dry, with no tannin and a short finish. It wasn't bad, but there is much better wine available for the price.

Very dark and inky. Dry, but opens up to reveal a touch of vanilla, dark fruit and spice.

White, almost clear with a hint of gold. Quite a muted nose, reveals a little hint of floral peach with time in the glass. Good acidity; medium bodied. Ozone and apple on the palate, clear and refreshing. Simple in the mouth with banana and melon on the finish. Average.

Off-dry rather than the medium that is common for a NZ late harvest. Hints of honey and botrytis, but racy acidity is most notable at this stage. Flavours seem complex, apples through to apricots. Could be more of a long-term prospect, perhaps even great, but at this stage seems unbalanced towards the acid.

Cherry, strawberry, and watermelon nose with a weighty aroma. In the mouth moderate acidity is somewhat obscured by perceptible tannin and extraction. Not a bad wine by any means but more masculine and weighty than I would like in a Pinot Rose. Actually reminds me more of a Syrah Rose!

Beautiful NZ sav. The power of the fruit is wrapped in a lovely, mineral intensity.

Extremely pale yellow in color, this inexpensive Sauvignon Blanc offered a nose of melon, grapefruit, and, dare I say, cucumber. Tastes reminiscent of lemon bar cookies (with powdered sugar), squash blossoms, and fresh mown grass made this wine a pleasing offering, if not necessarily typical of its varietal. A fine aperitif.

Pale orange-pink in color, this wine smells of wet stones and dried orange peel. In the mouth it is tart and bright with flavors of dried herbs, dried orange peel, and rosehips. A mineral undercurrent moves through the wine into the finish. Visit my website: Vinography: A Wine Blog

Typical extremely light beaujolais nouveau - stood up barely to a meal (probably not good for anything other than mild cheese and grapes) but still an enjoyable quaff on a weeknight.

Melon and key lime pie nose with just a hint of grass. Very ripe and fuller body than expected in the mouth. A little to thick and fruit sweet for me. Lacks the complexity of a more austere, non-ML Sauv. Blanc.
