Very tight, young wine. Opened up after decanting 2 hours and had good structure. Going to leave in the cellar a few years.

Wow. Caramel nectar. An excellent wine I pulled from the cellar to give a try.

Significant benefit from decanting for two hours. Initially almost too peppery, but became a lot smoother after it breathed.

Closed upon opening. Opened to cherry fruit, dust and very mild tannins. Good pinot.

Needed 45 mins to open up, but when it did it was loaded with blueberry fruit. Great wine for the price and drinking well now.

Good med.-dark color; lovely, complex, almost Bordeaux-like nose; rich yet elegant, complex, black fruit dominates; well blanced; soft integrated tanins; long elegant finish; ready but will hold.

Voted best Shiraz in S. Africa, the Stork 2005 is an extremely limited volume wine representing a very specific vineyard of Shiraz grapes. Planted in the near perfect clay rich red earth (Terra Rossa) one of the estate's South-Eastern slopes here due to deeper soils and lower temperatures - Shiraz grapes ripen a full month later than anywhere else on Hartenberg. Hand-picked from select vines and solely on taste expect rich black fruit flavours (dominated by cherries) white pepper and violets on the nose. Drink 2013 to 2025
