drank for Paula's 60th b'day at Crustacean in Beverly Hills. Kyle, Kendall and Paula also raved about it. Great with asian fusion meal.

What a delicious bottle! This had a racy, wild character. It was briery, brambly ,and seductive. I wanted to open a second bottle it was so intesting, showing just how lovely temperanillo can exhibit earthiness and exotic fruit.

I can see how this wine would be very appealing to California wine afficionados for its brazen burly character. I found it to be every bit as big and 'in your face' as his chardonnay and syrah. Sort of a strange style-no true finesse.

Much better than the WS rating, smooth and delicous cabernet.

cloudy. coats the mouth with spice and mild tannins.

03/05 think it could use a little more age

Big,Blackcurrant ,Blackcherry well integrated tannins, balanced,moderate to long finish.

started very fruity.... after 30 minutes and warming up became much better,, somehwat mushroom, earthy start... dissipated to more mineral.... feel some tannins... darker, extracted wine.....

Now this us what I'm talkin bout!!!!!!!!! Drink it now and enjoy it right out of the bottle with no decant time, or, cellar it for another 10 years and let it work it's magic even more. Loads of fruit, tannin, and subtle oak. Huge finish and perfect balance. Love it!

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! Ok, so you don't need any food with this wine. OK, so the alcohol level is through the roof. OK, so it does taste like you are drinking the juice from your Grandmother's pot she just finished making the Blackberry Jam in. So what!!!!!!!!! Just drink it all up, smile, and realize that it's OK to enjoy a wine that represents everything a Zin has to offer. Spice, black fruits, minerals and a touch of cherry. Admittedly, you can hang on to this for easily 5 to 10 more years. If you havce a few bottles, drink one now and save the rest. In fact, I think I'm going to go open up another bottle NOW!

Very round, large frame but quite delicious

Cheri liked it alot. Soft, well rounded. Rich but not overpowering at all. Sweet notes of light charcoal, anise, berries and a smooth finish. Great with of course Italian lasagna.

Soft (eventually; needs to breathe 30+ mins). Great earthy/leather/mineral nose.

10/8/05- Very nice wine for the money. A great deal. Lots of fruit. Gave it lots of air and found it to be full of bright berrys.

10/8/05- Not sure about this wine. Had it with a leak tart and scallops but couldnt get a lot out of it. Might have been a little cold. No one really flipped for this wine. Really golden, looked more like a sauternes.
