03/05 excellant CDP. perhaps slightly diluted but i am being very picky to say that. drinking perfectly.

Decanted for an hour. Had some bitter/green edge. Fruit subdued. Maybe would have gotten better with some time. Not crazy about it and would not buy again. Visit my website: The Wine Collector

1990 Rene LeClerc Gevrey Chambertin 'Combe aux Moines??? Delicate wine that shows medium to less than medium concentration. Great nose of floral elements and a distinct Gevrey footprint that cannot be adequately described. Very earthy but elegant. Persistent and penetrating fruit. Great wine from a great year.

no real sign of age but not a very sophisticated wine. Tasted like a really good 18 bottle of wine. average ca cab flavor with a little crassnes around the the edges of alot of fruit.

2/14/05- Had at Grace with everyone. This wine rocked right out of the bottle and didn't change much at all. Very 'pinot' in its character, fruity, a little oak, perfectly balanced acid. Had next toa 93 Morot that a ton more acid. Would think the Bonnes Mares would age very well, but I'd drink another bottle in 2007.

5/7/05- Had at a pinot tasting at Barton's to try and fool everyone. Lots of strawberrys, asian spices, peaches, nutmeg, cloves. 2/6/05- Had at 310 with the Garbs and this really came around. Did not decant it and after about 45 minutes in the glass it started to kick ass. Lots of cinnamon and chocolate and fresh berries. Was much more impressed this time around than before. Not sure what to do about the decanting situation. -- 9/19/04- Had at La Terza after decanting for a couple hours and it held it's own. Still lots of acid and fruit, lots of shit in the bottle, drink now but give it air.

Drank after dinner. Very good, but would be better with food.

Very fruity. Dense for a Pinot. great structure and held up. Quite tasty.

Red with a brick edge. Lilacs with a hint of licorice. Syrup-like cherry (kirsch) along chocolate with a smooth long finish. Still with some firm tannins. Should keep for another 5 - 8 years.

100% Pinot Meunier champange; great year but this smells and taste "off". Are there "corked" bottles of champagne? Strong chemical /iodine smell and taste. I was very interested to try, but very disappointed upon drinking. Oxidized?
