Very dry with low to medium acidity and loads of tannins. Low alcohol. Very tight and closed. Somewhat dry. The 2003 vintage was one for early drinking, and this wine is approachable now. Could have been mistaken for Bordeaux in a blind tasting. Rather closed nose, but opened up after about 30 minutes. This is an elegant wine, more subtlety to it than I had expected. Tannins were smooth and fruit was showing well. I would say that this wine has seen it's best days and it's time to drink up unless you're saving that one last bottle for your Dominus vertical.
