Grass notes on the nose, starts with a nice acidity, but finishes softly. Very easy to drink with seafood. |

Clear and slightly opaque. Black cherry to ruby rim. Nose healthy. Closed slight spice hints. Very dry with low to medium acidity and loads of tannins. Low alcohol. Very tight and closed. Dryness lingers with very little finish. 1 of 1 people found this useful |

Not First Growth quality, but well balanced, showing everything you would expect in a Left-Bank bordeaux: cassis, tobacco scents and a minerally finish. Somewhat dry. The 2003 vintage was one for early drinking, and this wine is approachable now. Good QPR. 1 of 1 people found this useful |

This wine was definitely lacking in acidity for a long lived Barsac. Drink shorter term. |

I can see how this wine would be very appealing to California wine afficionados for its brazen burly character. I found it to be every bit as big and 'in your face' as his chardonnay and syrah. Sort of a strange style-no true finesse. 1 of 1 people found this useful |

Decanted for an hour. Had some bitter/green edge. Fruit subdued. Maybe would have gotten better with some time. Not crazy about it and would not buy again. Visit my website: The Wine Collector |

Dinner at Cafe Ponte with Jeff, Jory and Jere. Could have been mistaken for Bordeaux in a blind tasting. Rather closed nose, but opened up after about 30 minutes. This is an elegant wine, more subtlety to it than I had expected. Tannins were smooth and fruit was showing well. I would say that this wine has seen it's best days and it's time to drink up unless you're saving that one last bottle for your Dominus vertical. |

Dinner at home with Cophams and friends. Boatloads of fruit. Still a baby and I'll wait a bit before opening my last bottle. Lots of coffee and chocolate notes. 1 of 1 people found this useful |
