Deep rich cherrie son the nose and plenty of alcohol. The wine is beginning to show some age around the edges. Still drinking nicely with gripping tannins and spices on the palate. Drink now. |

Deep ruby/black in color with a nose full of cherries and chocolate; lush, almost unctious in the mouth. still has lots of tannins and the finish is a bit "hot" but a good wine that will only get better with a little more bottle time. |

This is the fifth bottle of a lot of 6 bottles that we have been drinking since 1999. This just has been getting better each time and I'll probably wait 3-4 more years before opening the last one. It's well-integrated now with the raisiny flavor of Amarone clearly there, but no longer dominating all the rest of the palate. 1 of 1 people found this useful |

Incredible fruit and spices. Deserves its reputation as the class of the amarones. |

This is very concentrated on the nose with plum, dried flowers and fruits. Full-bodied, with big velvety tannins and a deep palate of ripe and wild fruits. Port-like. Better than the 2000. Best after 2008. 3,000 cases made. |

drank at Zibbibo in Florence. Very powerful and incredibly big and smooth at the same time, but very sweet on the attack. It may need more time to aerate as it became more even as the bottle was consumed. Its easy to see why people see this wine as so exceptional, but the sweetness put us off. |

This has a floral and almost meaty mineral character against a background of raisiny fruit. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a firm, if rather simple, finish. Drink now. 950 cases made. -JC Score: 87 Release Price: $90 Country: Italy Region: Veneto Issue: May 15, 2008 My wine is a 2004 - |

Clear. Deep Ruby. Clean. Medium to pronounced nose of cooked red berries, cherries and raisons. Hints of herbs and sweet spices. Some chocolate. Still developing. Dry. Medium plus acidity. Full bodied. High intensity. High alcohol. More red fruits on the palate. Medium finish. High priced. Fine quality. Can drink now but can wait for 3-5 years. |

The aroma is somewhat rich, a bit alcoholic. The aroma got a little bit of apple scent, also some raisins. On the palate, the wine is also a bit rich and heavy, but not too much depth, but got good and decent drinking flavors. I am drinking this all night and although I have no deep desire to want to keep on drinking this wine, but would not turn it away if it is presented to me, and I am almost done with 65% of it. Composed of Corvina Veronese, Rondinella, Molinara, which are dried on mats for 5 months by natural air. The wine is fermented for 1 month in stainless steel tanks, then it is aged for 3 years in Slavonian oak barrels. 1 of 2 people found this useful |

Needs plenty of time to decant, but this is lucious, tobacco, cinammon, with the nice true cinnamon flavor. Not my favorite amarone, but good. |
