Definitely showing age. Lacking the acidity to be a truly great old riesling.

A magnificent wine from an outstanding vintage.

Very concentrated spatlese. Loads of peach and mango flavor up front and toasted almond at the finish.

Apricot pit and peaches on the nose. On the palate, the wine displays sharp acidity and good length on the finish. The wine needs a few years to develop fully.

Wacky drinking experience: This wine started so flabby that it would have been better drunk straight from the bottle. After a moment in the glass, gorgeously cutting acidity was sparked and the wine shot to the back of the palate. Unfortunately, this strength lasted for only a couple of sips before the wine laid back down on the palate.

Soft sweet Riesling that matches well with spicy food. Citrus flavors, good finish but perhaps could do with a little bottle age to mellow out the sugar? Structure seems a little under defined.

A hair sour on the finish, but otherwise very pleasant with high acidity and good sweetness.

Apricot, melon, and peach on the nose. Good acidity and mineral flavors in the mouth that produces excellent structure. Excellent wine.

Pale gold in color, this wine has a compelling nose of incredibly ripe pear and honeysuckle aromas. In the mouth it is smooth and satin-like in texture with sunny flavors of pear, clover honey, and hints of citrus. It's towards the sweeter end of the Spatlese spectrum, and has a nice long finish with an undercurrent of minerality. Overall a sense of purity pervades the wine. Still youngish!! Wait a few years cause acidity still very good.

Bright yellow in colour, more dense in colour than most other rieslings I've had. A bit on the viscous (sp?)or slow flowing side. Very aromatic on the nose, heavier tones than I am used to in a riesling. Big and full body, aromatic and well tasting with big fruit and minerals, but feels a bit heavy. Gives the impression of wanting some more acid, but improves with time and works very well alongside the marinated chicken. With the food it becomes quite obvious that the acid is there. Uncertain of what to think about this wine, but in my opinion the price is rater steep.

Clean, some grapefruit, slightly light body for a spatlese.

Light gold in color. Low rim variation. Slow legs. Lychee, green Apple, Thyme. Light/Medium bodied. Bright texture. Short finish.

Pale gold in the glass, this wine has a nose of minerals, pears, and white flowers. In the mouth it is silky and beautifully poised with balance.
