Best wine in the Spat flight. The nose offers scents of fresh wildflowers, white pepper, apricot, and honey. Gorgeous light touch on the palate leading to a rocking 1 minute finish.

Striking bouquet of honeysuckle/magnolia/wildflower that transported each person at the table back to some childhood moment in the forest. Light as a cloud on the palate with the same sweet nectar characteristics from the nose blending with green apple. Acid was strong enough to balance the sweetness and provide a 30 second finish, but light enough to be almost elusive. Really had to concentrate to parse out this wine's nuances. Superb

Frighteningly closed for hours until she came around to reveal hints of cranberry, spring flowers, honey and sweet peas in the nose. The palate was soft and feeble initially but shifted into balance as it became smokier in time, with peach, apple skins and mineral flavors took shape. Donnhof crushed it in 2001. Reference standard of balance and beauty in German Riesling

Greenish gold. A little bit of C02, a bit of petrol. More spatlese like sweetness and nice finish. Definitely hints of lemon, peach. Not a particularly long finish but quite satisfying nevertheless. Pretty good acid too.

Delightful. Slight sweetness, mild acidity. Great with fresh crab.

Another taut, supremely constructed German Riesling that absolutely demands patience. By patience, I don'tjust mean cellaring, I also mean focus. This wine is so subtle and intricate that it gently sneaks up on you w/ complexities that certainly could be over-looked (ie: Didier Daguneau Pur Sang). A slow, quiet eruption of aromas began to brew, calling to mind thoughts of spring flowers, honeysuckle, ginger, quince and tea leaves. The gossamer frame has a pristine clarity and offers brilliant, focused flavors of apricots, petrol and crushed rocks. Honeysuckle and white flower on the nose. Semi-sweet attack that dissipates in the mid-palate; leads to a crisp, disappearing finish.

Apricot, honeysuckle, honey on the nose. Light touch on the palate and a stunning, heavy, 45 second finish.

Really excellent right out of the gate. Aromas of lemon curd and lime. Great freshness and verve. Sour apple. Mouth watering acidity. White peach and pineapple.

A little one dimensional, but a nice introductory wine. Overpriced.

Light yellow, a hint of green. Intense nose showing concentrated fruit; citrus and pear drops with an underlying minerality. Full bodied with lively acidity which cuts-through the rich flavours. Complex palate with toffee apple, cane sugar, pears and a honeyed richness on the palate. Lingers on the palate for a long time. Excellent

Slightly petrol nose. Slightly sweet but still well balanced wine with an attractive golden color. Lime and stone are the predominant characteristics of the wine along with the petrol. Quite complex and enjoyable.

Full-bodied, with aromas of petrol, lemon, white flower and spice, this was a well-balanced wine, showing good fruit and secondary development, with medium acidity to match the slight sweetness.

Very nice this one. Still young on the nose but some comlexity there. Just a little residual sugar and sufficient acidity to stay fresh. Nice now and a few years forward but not decades.
