This Spanish white had a clear, pale yellow color in the glass. The nose was mild and slightly acidic with notes of flora and apricots. On the palate, the wine was light bodied and crisp, with a touch of apple and minerality. The finish was short, dry and fresh. A hint of lime could be detected in all aspects.

I brought this just for the hell of it, and considering that Jorge (Senior Spain, if you will) is not totally on board w/ the grape, I am glad I did! One of the most quality minded producers in Rias Baixas, known for low yields and battonage, produced a wine of laser like focus in 2005. Flinty, w/ citrus blossom, tangerine and crushed stone flavors that are creamy, but showcase excellent acidity and minerality to keep your heart racing. Another winner. Creamy mouth feel, beautifull gold color. Mineral nose and taste also some pear. Excellent

Nice Albarino. Wildflower and herb notes, with citrus and peach flavor. Good acidity. Paired well with homemade seared sea scallops and mango salsa and baked mediteranean tilapia and cauliflower puree.

Tropical and stone fruit nose. A bit of very dry unsweetened pineapple juice in the mouth. Super crisp and quenching.

Peachy nose and slightly floral. This wine is light bodied,with low alcohol.Very refreshing with a clean dry finish.Enjoy on a hot summer afternoon.

We had this with grouper puttanesca (served over orzo) on 3/29/09. It had a very pleasant bouquet of peach, orange honey suckle and baking spice aromas. The palate followed exactly with just a touch of sweetness. It was very pleasant with enough complexity to keep me analyzing it. I liked it a lot. It is a terrific QPR.
