Opulent, full bodied wine. Perfect amount of tannin to fruit ratio. This is the wine to buy if you don't want to spend thousands on first growth bordeaux. Elegant, refined and lengthy.

A rich, thick wine. Smoky, choclatey palate. The dark fruits become subtley jam-like. Long finish. A wonderful wine. Has some time yet.

This was amazing. Complex and earthy, with great Priorat licorella minerality.

Great nose! Not showing as nice as last bottle. More acidic with less fruit and structure support.

A nice wine with tannins almost fully absorbed, but lacks the punch and complexity of the best Priorat. Might be a year too late

Decanted and drank over a two hour period. Peaked at around an hour and a half. Spectator nails it on this one. Great sweet fruit that definitely has layers but more medium bodied than full. The oak is well integrated and rounds out the wine but the tannins are difficult to detect, making me suspect of the long term viability of the wine. Solid effort and a nice wine nonetheless but I have had better Priorats for less money.

Blueberry , oak and casis flavors dominate. The fruit is starting to fade. It is not as powerful as i recall tasting two years ago. Drink now.

This is a perfect wine for a steak. The nose is subtle, but earthy and woodsy, with some nice dark cherry coming through. The palate is complex, with plenty of smoke, pencil shavings and cigar box flavors. It's got strong tannins but not to the point where they dominate, and the fruit still shows through nicely. A great wine to sit in front of a new, or old, fireplace and enjoy the warmth.

Another chunky wine laden with aromas of sage, Thai basil, rich ripe blackberry and dark fruit jam. There is also a healthy dose of oak. On the palate there is a meaty texture, but sweet fruit does shine. It is opulent and racy. It is a wine that does need time as oak and tannin dominate the finish.

Very nice, needs decanting to shows extract its best...complex with finesse In its peak and shall drink very well for 5yrs more.

Had again with friends. Same bubbly feel on the tongue. Fruity smell and taste maybe grapefruit.

Solid priorat, if not overwhelmingly ditinct. Not weighty enough at the finish. May need more time in the bottle.

Deep purple in color. The nose is a mix of smokey earth, minerals and cherries framed by some dark spices. Hish acidity with firm tannins, the cherry comes forward first in the mouth with the minerals and spices following. This wine needs a few years to settle in. 4/5

Both Amadis and big brother Tirant are terrific value for money and have performed extremely well since the breakthrough 2001 vintage (96-98pts) resulting in a dedicated, cult following. 2005 is a sensational vintage - better even than 2003, which scored 94pts for the Amadis and 96pts for the Tirant - the wines are saturated with beautifully balanced black liqueur fruit flavours and are surely destined for rave reviews in the near future.

Wonderful aromas of red and black fruit and spices; still a bit closed, even after a day or two; not as big as many Priorat reds; should improve with age

Apple scents. Acidic. Little bit of buubly feel on the tongue. Had with pork chops decent pairing.
