We drank the last bottle (out of 6) with left over steaks on 11/14/09. It had a terrific bouquet of cherry, cola, bay leaf, vanilla and spice aromas. The palate was smooth balanced and very tasty with flavors that followed the nose and a long 42 second finish. |

We had this with buffalo steaks on 10/11/09. I had the flu, so my senses were seriously impaired. All I could get was some cherry...I still enjoyed it. |

Opened and poured - fantastic notes of spice, cherry, and leather. With time the nose started to really open up with a little more sweetness. Robust flavor - pepper, dark fruit, and a little earthiness. Awesome value for under 10 bucks - very unique. It would really be interesting to see this wine in a decanter for a little while. |

Nice deep red color. Nose is wonderful with hints of oak and big red fruits (strawberry, raspberries). Jammy nose and mouth. Wonderful full mouth feel with decent integration of alcohol. |

This is as good as it gets for a wine in this price range. Lots of raspberry and peppery beef boulion on the nose and palate. The finish goes on and on... Fantastic! |

Big grenache, with concentrated blueberry fruit. Needs air. Better with food. |

Maybe 91. Nice deep ruby w/ garnet rim. Not overly complex, but subtle, soft, delicious. |

We had another bottle with beef stew on October 18, 2009. It had notes of cherry, plum, cola, vanilla, spice and pepper on both the nose and palate. It was very good, but not great. |

There are 18,000 cases of the delightful 2007 Las Rocas Garnacha, a wine sourced from Calatayud vineyards ranging in age from 70 to 100 years. Dark ruby in color, it delivers alluring aromas of spice box, mineral, cherry, and black raspberry. Layered on the palate, it has superb depth, succulent flavors, and a pure, lengthy finish. It will provide pleasure over the next three years. The Las Rocas label has become synonymous with value in recent years. |
